HOB-SON HOTEL CONVICTED. In the case Police v. MoEwin. in which Ellen McEwin. licensee of the Hobson Hotel, and George McE'win. her son, were charged with having supplied and sold heer on a Sunday, Mr. Wilson, S.'M.. to-day gave judgment convicting both defendants. He said he had no doubt that the man Lyndhurst (who was convicted of being on licensed premises without lawful excuse) had gone into the (Hobson Hotel with an empty j bag and came out with it full of bottles lof beer. The licensee would be fined , £5. and for having supplied the liquor George would be fined £in.
