OBITUARY.
MRS. H. L. POSSEMSKIE. Advice has been 'received by cable of the death at Hobart of Mrs. Posseniskie, widow of the late Mr. H. L. Posseniskie, at the age of 65 years. Deceased was born in Belfatt, Ireland, and came to Auckland with her parents 60 years ago. Mrs. Posseniskie was a pioneer woman amongst the Jewish community in this city. She is survived by her son, Mr. Harold Posseniskie, and the following daughters: Mesdames ,J. Nathan, Paeroa, A. Alexander, Hobart, and Miss seniskieMR. L. H. NEUMEGEN. At the advanced age of 85 years there died at his residence. Symonds Street, yesterday, Mr. Louis Henry Neumegen, a very old resident of this city. Mr. Neumegen was born in London on May 1. 1837. and went to Melbourne in November, 1855. After being on the Victorian goldfields for a few years the discovery of gold at Gabriel's Gully, Otago brought Mr. Neumegen across to New Zealand. Four years afterwards Mr. Neumegen came to Auckland where Tie has resided ever since, being actively engaged -irr business up to six months ago. Deceased was a member of the Masonic fraternity, and took a keen interest in all matters affecting the welfare of the Hebrew congregation in this city. Mr. Neumegen is survived by his widow, ana the following children: —Messrs. Walter Leopold, Ernest, and Alfred Neuinesren, Mesdames Morris Copeland and Cecil Emanuel. The interment was at Waikumete to-day.
