MARKETS WELL BUPPLTED. Unusually large shipment of fruit have, arrived during the last few days and a-s a result the markets to-day had considerable (plantities to offer. The Makura brought a big consignment of Canadian apples, which arrived in excellent condition. The Flora, from the Cook and Society Islands, carried''nipht thousand cases of tomatoes, the lnrgest shipment so fnr thi« season. In addition the Navua. from Suva and Fiji, landed a considerable quantity of bananas, which realised satisfactory prices this morning. Today's market, was well supplied with the usual lines out of cool store, while a good quality shipment of cherries and cucumber* came by the 'Manuka. Karly fruit is appearing on the market in small quantities. including cherries 'local), plums, gooseberries, and hothouse tomatoes. Improvement in the prices of several linc6, particularly orangos and lemons was noted to-day, while strawberries are coming forward in email quantities as a result o-f the bad weather. Prices, consequently are higher, but with a little sunshine nnrt better weather during the next few days an increase in 'Strawberries, marketed and a reduction of the price per ship should follow.
