Mr. Justice Reed left Auckland for Wellington last night. The Hon. George Fowlds left for the South by last night's express. Mr. Justice Stringer is due to arrive in Auckland from Wellington to-morrow. Mr. A. Spencer, president of the Auck« land Provincial Employers Association, is visiting Wellington. The Hon. J. G. Coates, Minister of Public Works, has returned to Wellington, from the Auckland district. Colonel R. J. Collins, who ha? been ©pending come iveeks in the Auckland district, has returned to Wellington. The Rev. A. Doull, M.A., of StAndrew's Presbyterian Church, Palmerston Xorth. has resigned owing to illhealth. Mr. A. D. Ford. Mayor of Kiecarton, who has been visiting Auckland, and i Mrs. Ford, have left on the re*urn to I the South. Captain A. W. Brocks. M.C., Chief Instructor in Physical and Recreational Training, will leave for England .-liortly to rejoin his regiment. Meesrs. T. Bloodworth and W. E. Sill. who have been attending a sitting of the Arbitration Court in Wellington in connection with the cost of living bonus, returned to Auckland yesterday. Mr. R. Lawrie was the recipient of a presentation from liis fellow employees in tie city last week, when leaving the firm with which he has been connected for the past ten years, in order to eommpiice business on his own account. Recently the -presentation of a gold watch suitably inscribed was made to i Mr. John Eowc, of Onehunga. who has been for very many yeare connected with the public life of the province and who is also a well-known sport, on tin , occasion of his esth birthday.
