> AUCKLAND CHAMPIONSHIPS. The preliminaries in connection with the amateur chanrpionsMp meeting to be held by the Auckland Centre of tbe New Zea*land Amateur Athletic Association at "Carlaw Park on Saturday, March 11. have been completed, and nominations close this afternoon. Since the October carnival Carlaw Park 'has been drained and top-dressed, and given fine weather the track should be in good order. Considerable interest is being taken in the clujbl championship, points for which in individuel championships will count 5, 3 and 1. Good* tear_s are being got together for the one mile relay championship, for which University is slightly better fancied than Auckland, but Akarana, Pulilic Service. Cambridge, and Hamilton Clubs promise to he strongly represented, while it is possible a Gisborne team may be able to take part. SPORTS AT CAMBRIDGE. (By Telesraph. —Ovni Correspondent.)
