The British fempire Chamber of Commerce of the United States, which has been establishod under a rharter of the British Board of Trade, held its inaugural meeting tc-day. representative of English and Canadian chamheTs attending. Mr. Mark Sheldon. Au.-tralian Trade Commissioner, predicted the unqualified success of the new body, which, he said, would be another magnet drawing the two English-speaking peoples closer together.—(A. and X.Z.
