The polite raided the offices of the '■Workers' Dreadnought." in Fleet Street, and arrested the Harold Burgess, on a charge of seditious conspiracy in connection with the army. Other arreets arc expected. Miss Sylvia Pankliurst is the editor of the •'Dread-Burgt-ss was later charged at the Bow Street Police Court with attempting to cause d-safTection in the Irish Guards, by supplying and attempting to circulate literature, including a pamphlet entitled "Soviets for the British.' , Sir ' Archibald Bodkin, prosecuting counsel, fitated that the defendant picked up three Guardsmen in an hotel and invited them to dinner. lie talked about Bolshevism and the world revolution. Subjsequently, in the presence of Mies Sylvia Pankhurst, he asked them to distribute literature. One of the men eaid he] could lay his hands on rifles and machine guns. Miss Pankhurst said she had trusted friends in Ireland to whom they could be sent. The police found packages on the premises addressed to I-Guardsmen, and also a letter from one, j stating, "We are {retting on well, and I have quite a number of followers." ; Accused was remanded, bail being refused.—(A. and X.Z.
