POXSONBY DEFENCE RIFE CUUB. The Ponsonby Defence Rifle Club fired the third , round of the competition for -Mr. AJf. Adams' trophy, at Penrose, on Saturday, the results being::—H. G.. Adams, 43 at 500 yds, 8S at 700 yds (handicap IS)—total 99; C. C. Brady, 45, 37 (10)—82; O. It. Harrington, 44, 36 (11)—91; A. J. Pleterson, 41, 37 (11)-69; W. Q. Trevarthen. 38, 22 (23)—83. The concluding round of this competition, also the final o r f the club championship, will be fired on Saturday next. Aggregates to date are:—C C. Brady, 279 ronnds; H. G. Adams, 277 round*; A. J.
