REMUERA'S DRAFT.
FEW SOLDIERS RETURN. The s.s. Remuera, which arrived from Southampton this morning, brought a I handful of. soldiers returning from active service. The draft consisted of twenty - I one returning members of the X.Z_E.I-\. i there being five officers among them. I There are also two officers' wives on I board, while seven of the. privates are accompanied by wives, two of whom, have young children. The draft is in the rare of Major W. Kay, 0.8. E., of the New Zealand Rifle Brigade, while Captain P. J. R. Fordham and Major L. M. Wilson are among the officers. The men include one possessor of a military medal. Major Kay reports a quiet voyage, devoid of incident, and a healthy draft of men under his cars. The Southern members of the draft are to go south by the Monoivai to-night.
