INFLUENZA CASES.

ONLY ONE OF SEVERE TYTE. Only one severe case of influenza has been reported to the Auckland Health Department since noon yesterday, and the total is satisfactorily low. Leaving out ten cases from Hnmilton which are old cases, going back to the 4th of the month, and cannot fairly be included in yesterday's figures, there are a total of twenty-five from the following districts: Auckland city, nine mild; Auckland •suburbs, eight mild and one severe: Two mild cases from Te Aroha and Whakatane, and one from Waihi, Taumarunui and Rotorua respectively. The total for Tuesday was 22, and tho last two Java show a satisfactory diminution on last week's figure*. Tn view of the changeable nature of the weather, people would be well advised not to relax any precautionary measures they have been taking.
