A PLUCKY BOXER.
LESLIE COGHILLS DISPLAY. • (Received 0.30 a.m.) > '** LONDON, February 10. Leslie Coghill, Captain Gordon CogMi's brother, gallantly fought Joe Goddard, the English heavyweight, for a purse of £1000, at the National Sporting Club. Coghill floored Goddnrd in the first round. Goddard floored him once in the second round, twice in the third, four times in the fourth, and twice in the fifth, and then knocked him out. The bell saved C'oghill in the third and fourth rounds. He was accorded a reception for his pluck.—(A. and.^.Z.) Leslie C'osjhill seems to possess the quality lacking in his brother—ruggedncps. Gordon is a fine stamp of athlete, tall. Ftronp, and fast. H& boxes we]] and hits hard, but slows down under punishment, and this hoe cost him a number of fights.
