OFFERED AT AUCTION. NO DEMAND AT PRICES ASKED. The block of brick shops in Queen Street, comprising the establishments occupied by Steinert, coniectioner, the Auckland Meat Company, and Staeey's, fruiterers, etc., were offered at auction by Mr. C- F. Bennett at his rooms in the N.Z. Insurance Company Building today. Xone of the properties exchanged hands, the reserve being in advance of the price offered.
