Si r > —It is quite evident that your correspondent, who signs himself "A Porter," in your issue of the SSth inst., is not acquainted with the position, otherwise he would not rush into print , on the matter he has attempted to re- , view. The General Manager (as stated by "A Porter") did not hand the proposed alterations containing the clause , objected to to the Railway Union, ■ neither did he inform the Unioiuof any proposal to alter other clauses, hence i the trouble.—l am, etc., NEMO/"
