NORTHERN LAND BOARD.
A further meeting of the North Auckland Land Board took place this week, when the business again consisted principally of the consideration of applications from returned soldiers. Notwithstanding that only eleven days had elapsed since the previous meeting, no fewer than 131) applications for houses and land figured on the agenda paper. At the conclusion of the sitting yesterday it was announced that the majority of the applications had been favourably recommended, and only eight or nine definitely refused.
