THE CRIMINAL SESSIONS.
LIST FOR NEXT WEEK. THREE CHARGES OF MURDER. Eighteen persons are at present on the list for trial at the quarterly criminal sessions of the Supreme Court at Auckland, which begin on .Monday before Mr. Justice Stringer. The prisoners include Walter Ashby, charged with murdering an o!d Maori couple at Oramnhoe, Bay of Islands, and a Maori girl, who is charged with drowning her child in a well at Kaikohe. The following list states the charge or charges in each case, and the name of the court from which the accused was committed for trial:—

William Jermain Sargent, assault cans ing actual bodily harm, Auckland.
Eric Broadhurst Stokoc, rape, Auck land.
Murray Clarke, bigamy, Auckland. Daniel William Nathan, assault and robbery, Whangarci.
Thomas Clegg, theft (two charges), and receiving, Auckland.
Carl Melville Hoffman, manslaughter, Auckland.
William Venice Aitken, forgery, Cambridge.
Alexander W. Bawden, indecent assault on child, Waihi.
Mary Ann Noreta Kere, otherwise known as Pouri Mareta Kere, murder, Kawakawa.
Richard Henry Freeman, theft, Auck land.
Leo Arthur Arnold Coppland Boranoff. false pretences (two charges), Auckland.
Xorman Selwyn Conelly, theft (four charges), Auckland.
Arnold Lecky, manslaughter, Auckland.
John Johnston, unlawful carnal knowledge and indecent assault, Auckland.
Harold Richard Breen, indecent assault on child, Warkworth.
Watty Dunn, breaking, entering, and theft, Rawene.
Joe King, breaking, entering, and theft (two charges), Rawene.
