FIRE AT AVONDALE.
,t • t The house of Mr. Farley, in Station ,- Road, Avondale, took fire about 12.30 o p.m. yesterday, and was burnt to the tl ground. Mrs. Farley was at the time i- down the garden, and had loft the baby )- crawling on the floor. Mrs. Gordon, who v was passing, noticed smoke issuing from i- tho roof, and gave the alarm. Willing it workers were soon busy, but only a few i- oddments were saved. The house was o insured for £200, and the furniture for o a like sum. Great praise is due to the .c willing workers who undoubtedly saved Air. Stycb/s property adjoining.
