This refers to the gra- " initotis assumption that the Labour party as at present controlled is repre- ¥ sentative of the groat body of sane ' labour, and asks if Mr. Paul expects the country to believe that the accredited t leaders of his party arc not mon who openly expressed disloyal opinions, avowed sympathy with revolutionary j doctrines, and says tho avowed opinions of the leaders of the Labour party make j it ruinous for the electors to commit c the Government of the country into .] | their hands. Tho reply also contends 0 I that in the previous manifesto the just c | aims and aspirations of Labour were [ adequately recognised, and contends it t is significant that no practical suggesi- tion has come from tho Labour party to c remedy existing conditions of industrial ' unrest, or a deliberate system of limitai- tion of output so disastrous to tho proi jrross uf the country. Until tho party d disavows direct nction and the revolun tionary principle of its leaders it must d remain under tho stigma of desiring industrial unrest for class purposes.
