BOLSHEVIK REVERSE.
ROUTED BY DENIKEN. ADVANCE OT 150 MIXES. 15,000 PRISONERS TAKEN. CBy Cable.—Press Association.—Copyright.. (Received 10.10 a.m.) LONDON, June 12. General Deniken, the Cossack leader who is conducting a vigorous campaign against the Bolsheviks in the south of Russia, has penetrated two hundred miles into the heart of the Don and Donetz areas, north of the Sea of Azov He has taken 15,000 prisoners, and is now ncaring the Bolshevist centre of Tsantsyn, on the Volga, 250 miles from its mouth. His success is very surprising. The debacle of the Bolshevik forces is largely due to aeroplanes and tanks. Deniken is likely to occupy the line of the Volwn along a front of 500 miles. He is 150 miles beyond his starting point at some places, and has advanced at least fifty miles along the whole front. The Bolsheviks are meeting with better success in the north, where they have driven the Esthonians back to the southwest of Petrograd. The Esthonians have abandoned Wenden, north-west of Riga. The Polish army has practically wiped out the army of the Ukraine, the remnants of which have fled to the Pripetmarshes.— (A. and N.Z. Cable.)
