T!ie Chicago "Tribune's" Paris correspondent states that President Wilson, during a conference with Yi-cmnt Matsui, leader of the Japanese Peace delegation, told Matsni that it was impossible to in-.Tt j\n article in the League oi Nations covenant giving .Japanese equal rights of immigration with Caucasians. It is understood that Mr. Wilson received a promise from Matsui that Japan would not delay adoption of the League by insisting that Japan's wishes be granted, but reserved the right for Japan to take up the question in future. — (A. and X.Z.
