DELEGATES OF EMPIRE.
I KING GREETS CONFERENCE. '■;■■' LONDON, June 18. The Press Bureau announces that the I second meeting of the Imperial AVar Conference was held on Wednesday morning.' There was a full attendance, including representatives ,of Australia and India. The conference includes for the first time representatives of all the | Dominions and India, and is more comjJeiely representative of the Empire than any previous conference. Mr. Walter Long, Secretary of State for the I Colonics, who presided, read the King's reply to the loyal resolution of the conference, as follows King thanks I the AVar Conference for its renewed assurance of the devoted loyalty of all parts of the Empire. He is glad to welcome the delegates of all the overseas Dominions and India, and received the resolution with very special pleasure. The conference has met in circumstances of unparalleled gravity, and it is a proof that the Empire is united in determination to uphold the common rights and liberties of mankind. The King trusts that the deliberations will lead to the even closer association of all parts of the Empire in- a resolve to defeat the common enemy and build up an Empire freer and. even more united " (A. and N.Z.
