Cheese.—The market continues Arm. Oinadlnn white and coloured, 162/; United j States' flats, 160/. Hemp.—The market remains firm. There is a general and active demand, but little Is offered from New Zealand. It is reported there are 70.000 bales afloat from Manila, under Government contru;. The New Zealand Loau and Mercantile Agency <'om-pany. 'Limited, b-ave received the following cablegram from their 'London house, under date iMay IC:— 'Tallow.—We quote present spot values: . Mutton. 66/ per c-wt; beef. 60/ per ovt; , mixed. ;>Ti/6 jier cwt. No discount/5 now allowed buyers. Market dull." The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company. Ltd.. report having received the following cablegram under date of 18th Instant, from their London house:— " Butter market dull, with downward ten- ' dency, £10 2/ to £10 a/."
