MU. REED'S CANDIDATURE. The Chambers of Commerce at Whangaroa, Kaitaia, Ka-wakawa, and Mangoaui have passed resolutions during tiie past week urging that it would bis in the interests of the Bay of Islands' electorate, and of the Dominion, that the nominee of the National Government, Mr. Yeuiou Reed, should be returned unopposed, so saving The expense of an election, and also pii'venting the introduction of party politics during the war.
