HAWKE'S BAY SEAT.
LIBERALS CHOOSE SIR JOHN ITNDLAY. FINAL DECISION TO-NiGHT. (By Telegraph.— Special to "Star.") WELLINGTON, this day. Sir John Findlay is re-enterinn- active politics. Two deputations representing the Hawke's Bay Liberals interviewed him with a strong request to follow his old friend, the late Hon. Mr- MrNah. A3 the Hawke's Bay candidate. it' h understood he consented, subject, to the approval of a meeting of Liberals to be held in the -constituency to-night. Judging by the personnel of the deputation the meeting will heartily endorse his candidature. Though under the terms of the National Cabinet compact no party fight will eventuate, it is understood that Mr- lan Simson. a farmer Libera! candidate, has declared his intention of standing as an Independent.
