SYDNEY, February 11. The City Council is feeling the effects of the financi-l stringency, and finds it impossible to raise necessary money on anything like favourable terms. Lean times apparently are ahead. SYDNEY, this day. The electric lighting department of the City Council paid £10,215 last year to make up the difference between the military and former pay of its enlisted employees.
