The cutter Enterprise has reached Stewart Island from Auckland Islands, where she went in quest of the "General Grant's" gold. The search was unsuccessful. The gold proved to have gone; it is believed it was recovered by the Daphne, in 18G9. THE CAPTAIN'S REPORT. (By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) DUNEDLN, this day. Special advice has been received from Captain Catling, of the cutter Enterprise, which (representing an Otago syndicate) went to Auckland Islands in search for the General Grant's gold, that the mission had failed. Captain Catling, wiring from Halfmoon Bay, says: "We have failed to find the gold. Exhaustive operations proved that. If it is gone we consider it was removed by the Daphne."
