FOURTH OF JULY.

■ Tie Consuls and Consular agents called to-day at the United States Consul's office to pay their respects, aleo the Mayor of Auckland (Mr. J. H. Gunson), and the chairman of tie Harbour Board (Mr. H. D. Heather). ConsulGeneral Alfred A. Window had his office liberally decorated with the Stars and Stripes, and during the day was called upon by his fellow-countrymen, as well as many leading citizens of Auckland.
