ALLEGED BURGLARY. " ' (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, tiiis day. In the Court to-day Charles William Wood was charged with burglary at Dallington, and the theft of articles valued at £4 16/. Accused was remanded |tfll March 31. CHILD KICKED BY HORSE. (By Telegraph—Own Correspondent.) | WAIHI, this day. A child named Fisher, whose parents 'reside at Waikino, was kicked on the head by a horse, and rather severely injured. The child wa3 removed to the Waihi Hospital. IC&CREAM PROSECUTION. DUNEDIN, this day. Six confectioners were fined 10/ each and coste this morning, for selling adulterated food within the meaning of the Act. The food in question was ice cream, which, according to the regulations, hag to contain not less than ten per cent of milk fat in the form of cream. Small penalties were imposed, as the case was brought to serve as a warning. It was not suggested that the ice cream contained any deleterious substances. SUICIDE OF A SWEDE. MASTERTON, Tuesday. A Swede, named Wa. Larson, about 50 years old, was found dead this morning, hanging by the neck from a beam in his bnt. He had been drinking.
