DEVASTATED POLAND.

PADEBEWSKTS APPEAL. (Received 1.20 p.m.) LONDON, March 23. Paderewski, the famous pianist, in thanking- the Victoria State Schools' Patriotic League for its contribution of £500 for tho Polish refugees, says that the war in Poland is exterminating human beings and animals alike over an area equal in size to England and Scotland. He appeals to prosperous farmers in Australasia to assist Polish agriculturists.
