WAITEMATA GOLF CLUB.
ANNUAL MEETING. The annual meeting of the Waitemata Golf Club was held In Duder's Hall, Devonpert, Dr. Atkinson presiding over a good attendance of members. The report aud balance-sheet showed tbe club to be ln a very satisfactory position, .the season having been a good one financially. The club succeeded In paying off all the debentures and outstanding liabilities, and commences the new season with a credit balance in the bank of over £00. Negotiations are now in progress with a view to obtaining more definite tenure of the links, and meantime met season's nine-hole course is still available without much alteration. A lot of work has been done during the last month, and the course promises to be in first-class order for the coming season. Pending completion of the arrangements re the lease of the links. It was decided to admit-associate members without entrance fee on the same terms as the last two seasons. The officers for the 1015 season were elected as follows:—President, Air. .1. A. Johns. , The prize-winners for the 1014 season were as follows:—Opening day: Mixed foursomes. Miss Marks and It, Kainger and .Miss Bennett and A. 1. Johns; May medal, A, W. Clnustoh; men's foursomes. A, M. Howdcn and IL W. Slminouds; June medal W. F. Warren: Ferry Cup, A. W. Clouston; I captain's prize, A. W. Clouston; July I medal. W. F. Warren; president's prate (four ball—best ball). A. M. Howdcn and 11. W. Slmmorrda; August medal, A. 11. I Blacfcbnrn; championship, W. V. Warren; IB Grade handicap. C. Archer; Lalng Mcl morial, W.- -ii.- -Bush; Closing Day, Mrs Al&on and E. R. Kecley; Gold Button w" IF. Warren. I A number of ncn- members have already been proposed, ami, with the course In good order, everything promises well for a suc--1 cessful season. I At 11 subsequent committee meeting it was decided to hold the formal opening of the season on Saturday afternoon April 10, I when mixed foursomes will be played, members to arrange their own partners and opponents. it was also decided to keep on the present club-bonse for the coming season, and the following snb-committees were elected—Greens committee, Messrs.
