Sr, cable informs jour many readers thai " the Board of Trade is inviting women to register themselves at the labour exchanges as being ready to do industrial, agricultural or clerical work." A notification adds that n woman who releases a man for duty does an a«t of service to the nation. Quite so; but how about, this Dominion? Judging by the gruff intonation of the ma:]e, men are superseding the pleas-ant-voiced '" Hello!" girl in the unmasculine duties of the telephone office.—-I anij etc., LXXX.
