RELATIONS OF CAPITAL AND LABOUR.

BRISBANE, this day. The Premier, Mr. Denhara, in a policy speech referring to the relations of Capital and Labour, said he did not like the professed friends of the wageearners. They affected to regard the capitalist as their deadly enemy. He did not aim at abolishing or harassing the capitalist. He would impel the capitalist to larger undertakings, employing more hands under better conditions, and would endeavour to secure Labour the largest share of its product, compatible with fairness. Sweating, underpay, excessive toil and insanitary conditions would be uprooted like deadly plagues. The encouragement of production would be the Government's first care.
