REDUCED SERVICE ARRANGED. (By Telegraph.— Association.) WELLINGTON*, this day. Ori° effect of the strike has been a considerable skrirrkage of tram-way traffic, and a corresponding decline of revenue. Therefore the management ie beinj> obliged to economise in every reasonable manner. A reduced service was begun to-day for the (Jack hours of the day. At the quiet times the trips are at fifteen minutes instead of ten, 'but the ordinary time-ta-He is being maintained during the rush hours. The staff has not been reduced, the work being distributed on a fair basis, but of course, those men who have been earning extra •money by overtime will not ibavo. the sa."me scope till normal timee return.
