CARTERS RETURNING.

150 VEHICLES NOW WOBEHG. According to information supplied to the presidentt of the Master Carters' Association (Mr. Fred. Winstone). there are fully 150 vehicles plying on behalf of the associated carters. Of these about flO are men who went out on strike, and have returned to work. Pickets have been very active in all parts of the city (except Lower Queen Street) in endeavouring to persuad* striking carters not to return. These methods have been carried on to the greatest extent in the early morning and in the vicinity of stables' owned by the associated carters.
