Our illustration above conveys some idea of the location and extent of the great Panama Pacific International Exposition, on the shores of San Francisco 'Bay, ill the vicinity of the great Golden date lark. The scheme of buildings line been finally decided, and the plan ehowe definite shape on the ground, although the opening in not until the spring <rt Jm.">. The buildings extend along the shores of the harbour for more than two miles. The exhibit palaces will face outward upon the stream of traffic that pisses through the Golden date. The Congrese of the fnited States has authorised the President to invite the nations of the World to assemble their battleships and bring them through the Panama Carnal to the Golden Gate. The battleships of the world will be enabled to lind ample anchorage directly before the site. The stupendous scale upon which the buildings are grouped may be judged from the fact that the tower in the centre of the picture will bp 430 feet in height.
