THE BLACKBALL STRIKE.
i IN THE HANDS OF THE \ FEDERATION. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) GREYMOUTH, this day. A mass meeting of miners at Blackball this morning decided to place the dispute unreservedly in the hands of the Federation of Labour, whoso representatives are expected to arrive shortly to take the matter up on behalf of the men. The Premier has sent a telegram to the union, regretting to hear of the strike, and offering to send Commissioner Hallev. If both sides are agreeable tin.' union secretary was instructed to wire to Mr. Maesey that the dispute is now out of the local union's hands.
