THE BLACKBALL STRIKE.
(By Telegraph-—Press Association.) WESTPORT, this day. It is understood that miners employed at the various collieries on the West Coast will take a ballot on three issues, viz.: (1) To support Blackball men or not; (2) stop work if any cotnpanv loads Blackball boats; (3) refer the question to the executive of the Federation of Labour. Two Blackball steamere have been dispatched loaded and a third is loading to-day., It is reported that it was the original intention of tie Blackball Company to send their steamers to Newcastle, but this order has been cancelled.
