The cable also stated that the Craig steamer llmmata had put in to Noumea on Thursday short of coal. Xne Thora has lieen expected at Auckland for some time past, and it was thought likely that a barque sighted oft Cape Brett on Saturday would prove to be the- overdue vessel. In J)nn«din the fhnmata has been looked for c-ery <lay. Apparently it was found after the lhumata had left Fabre The coal supply would not be sufficient to carry the vessel to Emnedin, and the call was made at Noumea In consequence.
