JUBILEE OF WAIKATO.
[ (By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) HAMILTON, this day. A meeting of the Winter Show executive and representatives ot" most of the local bodies and Chambers of Commerce in W'aikato was held to-day to consider the best means of fittingly colebratiug the jubilee of the settlement o{ the district, which occurs in 1014. The proposal is to hold a function in connection with the Winter Show, but organised by a special committee representing the whole of the I Waikato. Great enthusiasm was shown, and it was decided to communicate with local bodies asking for guarantees of a maximum of £20. Permanent buildings j will be erected and used first for this ! purpose.
