PHYSICAL INSTRUCTION OF TEACHERS
(To the Editor.) Sir, —I am directed by the Auckland Headmasters' Association to ask you to insert the following resolutions passed at a meeting of headmasters -held on the Gth inst.:—"That this meeting desires to repudiate all responsibility for anonymous letters appearing in the puhlie press with respect to the physical instruction elapses at present being held. The Association, so -far as its own members are concerned, deprecates such anonymous correspondence as unfair to the rest of tbe profession, and misleading to the public." I am desired to add that the members of the Headmasters' Association, while th-ey consider tlro-L t-Tiey have a perfect right to criticise the proposed 6ystem, have nevertheless attended the classes cheerfully and with open mind. Although it is impossible that they should not perceive the defects of the system, they are at the s>ame time obviously Teady to become acquainted with and take advantage of its good points.—l am, etc., 11.
