Slattery, ex-Minister for Mines in Sir George Dibbs' Ministry of ISD2, is petitioning Parliament for the refund of £1,000, which he advanced Sir f George to cover the expenses of a trip to England in connection with that financial affairs of the State. lair George Dibbs obtained tbe money from the Treasurer's Advance Account, - but the House refused to ratify tho ex- - perditure on the grounds of irregularity. - Mr. Slattery paid private cheques of - £1,000 to the Treasury to settle the mat- "> tcr.
