MANSLAUGHTER CHARGE.
TAXI DRIVER COMMITTED.

CHRISTCHURCH, Wednesday
The circumstances connected with the Cashed Street fatality, in which a young girl, Ida Una Heath Bradley, lost her life through being run down iby a taxicab on July 24, weTe related at the Magistrate's Court, when Phillip James K-eliy was chnrgrd with manslaughter. At th-e inquest on the girl, the dietrict coroner recorded a verdict: "That deceased had been run over by a taxicab a-riven by Phillip James Kelly in a negligent manner." and the present charo-e was then preferred egainet him. Evidence wae given similar to that at fhe inquest, an-d accused wae committed for trial.
