FOUND IX A .WATER HOLE.

■PAHIATUA, Wednesday.

Mrs J. Dick, wife of Mr James Dick, a well-known and Wghly-respected settler in Xjmturi district, was found .Irovvncd in Tiraumea Kiver early this morning. She had not been in good health lately, and passed a restless night. Mr Dick proceeded about 12.30 a.m. to get her some stimulant. He discovered shortly afterwards that his wife had disappeared. With a neighbour he made a search, but could find no trace of Mrs Dick. The searcli was renewed with the assistance of neighbours at daybreak, the body of Mrs Dick being found caught in a willow tree in a water hole about seven chains from the river bank.
