"The policy of the Board of Education has been to insist upon the Department Hading tie whole of the purchase money for new sites for primary schools," remarked the chairman, Mr. G. J. Garland, this morning. '-The outcome of that policy has been that the Board has been enabled to set aside a sum for replacement, and at the present juncture a portion of the cash set aside will come in very handy for the replacement of Bereefoid Street school, lately partly destroyed by fire. Thie was a wise move and it will be a very safe policy for the Board to continue." Mr E.
