Koyal lode No. ti, level east: 5-Uft. Country broken." The report of work done during period ending 14th June, l(n:i:—No. 1 main shaft is now down lllSlft. Work has heen temporarily suspended to allow of substitution of electric suid cornish. pinups. At No. r» level, the Itoyat Jode, No. 1 winze, is down 73ft. This work produced 30 tons of ore, from a width of 51i inches, worth 15/ per ton; neither wall being exposed. No. S -winze is down C7Jft. The reef fa exposed .Tfiin wide, assaying £2 1/7. No. C level, Empire west: No. 3 rise wan put up 36ft, at which point It holed into No. 0 winze. 73 tona -oame from' here, from a width of 52 inches, worth £?, \/2 per ton. Pootwall only exposed. The lode has no distinct walls, and <-onsists of white "quartz an/I country rock. Another branch lode has been exposed at l"6iift west, s-trlkinp north-east, and situated between Kmpire main and footwall leader. This has been followed 32Tt with Tery 111----tiefinpd walls; producing 90 tons of ore for a width of jOin. -worth £13 11/8 per ton. As ■this vein is close to the Kuipire main lode it will be broken out and worked with It as one stoping , block. Th<> Empire lode east drive Li along SSlft. and" prodnced 190 tons of ore from an averajre width of 54in, worth ■CI 18/ C. Kootwnll only exposed. No. 6 <Tossrut was projected at r>6f»ft east, and exposes both walls, the full width being ]r>o inrhes. worth 11/6. No. 13 rise is up r»Oft. at which point it holed into No. 13 winze from -the No. 5 level. This work produced 54 tons p.f ore, from a width of Si inches, worth 10/ L The ore band in narrow, <ief»r£c lode, west drive, prwlaced 170 tons of ore for a width of 42 inches, worth £1 2/2. No. 1 rise "holed to ttte winze from No. 5 level. prodn<-inc; ISO tons ore. from a width of fil inches, worth £2 !>/10; hanging wall exposed. The Koyal lode, east drive, is atonp 310 ft The drive continued through soft disturbed Country to KOOft, where a reef formation was cut. The lnrte was broken and disturbed, and the strike north, assays of <jaartz averaged 7/10.
