FLAXWORKERS.
PLAIN TALK BY PREMIER.

WELLINGTON, this day. A deputation waited on the Premier to-day regarding tire recently gazetted regulations dealing with accommodation for workers at fin xm ills. Mr Veiteh who introduced the deputation, said tho workers were not -atiMied with the present condition of aifairs.
The Premier said the regulations might not be perfect, but they were a tremendous advantage on anything that was iv existence befoiv. The "regulations were to be administered, and if the peopte concerned did not comply with tbem they would have to put up with the consequences. He also intended to arrange for a special inspector, who would tare nothing else to do -but look after fiaxmill districts in Manawatu. He (Mr Massey) would get a special report once a month as to how things were going.
