IMPROVEMENTS AT EDEN PARK.
HEW MEMBERS' STAND. TO SEAT 600. The Auckland Cricket Association have accepted the tender of Mr. Grayson. at £1,t>98, for their members' stand'at Eden Park, and the work is to be put in hand at once. Plans for the building have been drawn by Messrs. Bamford and lierce, and the structure will in every respect be an up-to-date one. Seating accommodation will be provided for 600 people, and the posts have been so arranged that the view will not be obstructed from any part of the etand. Inside the building there are three dress-ing-rooms, each fitted with a showerbath, members' lavatories, members' din-ing-room, players' dining-room, lounge, ladies' retiring room, umpires' room, secretary's room, kitchen, and scullery. The stand will be erected on stone foundations, and entrance will be from each end, the western end being glassed in, as a .protection against the prevailing wind. It is the intention of the Association to reserve the building exclusively for members, who are to be limited to 300, each member being entitled to all the ground privileges dnring both the cricket and football seasons.
