At the annual meeting of the Waiii branch of the Reform League, last evening, a resolution was carried: ""That this branch urge upon Government the immediate importance of pushing on the East Co.".st railway from the Waihi end." The question of nominating a candidate for the next general election was discussed at length. It was resolved to appoint three delegates to confer with delegates representing other branches in the 6hinemnri electorate in the matter. The Eev. deary, Mr. Devereanx and Mr. Walmsley were elected delegates. The names of probable candidates mentioned were, Colonel Porr-tt (Paeroa), H. M.
