The departures consisted of sis large rar;jo steamers, six intercolonial or Island traders, coastal steamers, one foreign palling vessel, and one steamer after bunkering—an aggregate of 85,465 gross tone and net tons.; also 246 local coasters of 37,176 gross tons and 21.576 net tons; together a grand total of 122.641 gross tons and 70,076 net tons. The pilots' services -were engaged by five steamers inwards, and six steamers and one saDing vessel out-wards. The Calliope dock was still engaged by the et-eamtrr Inga. The Auckland dock had been engaged ifor four duys by two faevmert-. The Te Awhiita had assisted To 'berth or remove six eteamers: towed 21 loaded and 12 empty punts, and carried 180 workmen to and from Calliope dic-k: run otit six ■moorings for the H.ipai; given one tow each to transport and priestman. also two tows to piledrivers; made one trip to No. 1 Suction Dredge with four lengths of suction pipe: raised two. and laid three yacht's in the protected areas; supplied No. 1-21 with 18 tuns, No. 1 Suction with 11 tuns of fresh water.. The approximate consumption of coal was S7 tony.
