The Tyser steamer Star of Ireland arrived at London on April 2 from Wellington, after a trip occupying 49 days. Advice from the T'nion Company states that the Kiui will load produce at Timaru ou Saturday next for Auckland, in addition to the Wanaka. The Union Co.'s coaster RosamoDd left Gisborne at 9 p.m. yesterday. She is due here to-morrow. The Huddart-Parker steamer Victoria, •which sailed for Sydney direr-t last night, is due at her destination on Friday. She is timed to be back at Auckland ou June S. Towed by the collier Glenelg, the barque Rona left port last evening for Ltmestone Island, where she loads a cargo of cement for Sjdney. Messrs. A. H. Nathan. Limited, have receive*! advk-e that a steamer has been fixed to load a cargo of superphosphates and sulphur in Japan in June or Julv for New Zeiland ports to the agency of Mr. A. H. Hasell. The coastal steamer Chelmsford was docked to-day to undergo annual overhaul aud repairs. In the meantime the Daphne is relieving the Chelmsford in the Marsden Point senile. After Thursday, the Daphne will take the place of the Aupouri in the Thames running. After discharging her carzo of Newcastle coal, the barque Thora will probably sail this week with a load of timber and stores for Noumea, whence she will proceed to Fabre Island to load guano for Auckland. The New Zealand Shipping Companv's steamer Rakaia sailed from St. John (Canada) on April 7 for Australian and New Zealand ports. The Shaw. SavilL and Albion Co - s steamer Waiwera arrived at Auckland from London this morning, and went to the Powder Ground to land explosives. The steamer left London on April sth for Auckland and southern ports via Cape Town. A call was made at the latter port for bunker coal, and she saiied on April 29th for this port direct. Generally fine weather was the order during tbe passaze. The Waiwera has 4000 tons of general "cargo to land at this port, and, after completion of discharge of explosives into the schoonet Huia," she will come up to the berth. STEAMERS REPORTED. ! SCHOONER HUANUL

Advice received in Auckland yesterday states that the schooner Huanul arrived at Rarotonga on May 13. after occupying the somewhat unusually long period of 24 days on the Journey from Auckland. The rough weather encountered on the passage no doubt accounts for the delay. The Huanul. which Is owned by an Auckland syndicate. Is to engage in inter-island trade.

KIA ORA FOR LOADING.

The Shaw, SaviH and Albion Co.'s liner Kia Ora left Wellington at 0.30 a.m. to-day for Auckland direct. She is due here on Thursday morning, and will be berthed at the new Queen Street wharf. Departure will be taken finally from Auckland for London about the end of this week.
