More than usual Interest was taUeu In the sale, and buyerevwere present iv. grea.t number's the room being filled to overflowing. "Glen limes," the property of the late Wni. Innes Taylor, for very many years known as one of the best farms in the vicinity '-of Auckland. Is situated on the btmks of the Trimokl River, only seven miles from Auckland, by an excellent motor road, commands exquisite views, and is nil rich land In a liijjh state of cultivation. The first to be. offered wore the residential areas, ranging- from three and n-lialf to six acres, and these evoked the keenest competition, section t, 3 acres 3 roods 22 perches, realising: £154 per acre: section 2, 2 acres 3 roods 22 perches, £100 per acre; lot 10, 4 acres 2 roods 9 perches, £146 per nere; section.B, 5 acres. £00 per acre; section 11, 4 ncre.s 2 roods 31 perches, £150 pec acre. Of the seaside sections, the following were disposed of:—Section 44, 1 acre 1 rood Iβ perches. £130 per acre: section 43, I acre .1 rood 11 perches, £120 pec acre: section 42. 1 acre 1 rood 0 perches, £110 per acre; section 41, 1 acre 3 roods 10 perches, £110 per acre: section 31, 1 acre t rood 17 perches. £120 per acre: and section 30, containing 23 acres 3 roods and 18 perches, found a buyer at £88 per acre. In Hie unsold sections the margin between buyer and seller was very narrow indeed, nnd several of the sections are now being treated for privately.
